Job summary

Interconnects Cable / Harness Design Engineer role based in Bristol (Hybrid) on a 12 Month Contract. The incumbent will design cable harnesses, create schematics and provide technical expertise within a specialist Electronic Engineering team.

Key responsibilities include developing interconnect solutions, supporting E3 workflows, and driving design standards across product development cycles. You will collaborate with project teams and manufacturing to resolve issues and support testing and

Qualifications

• Experience with Zuken Cable and harness design.
• Electrical schematics and wiring design expertise.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret subsystem and system-level requirements to develop interconnect solutions.
• Create electrical schematics and cable design definitions using Zuken E3.
• Support, guide and troubleshoot issues for E3 users across the engineering community.
• Integrate and utilise Zuken E3 throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Investigate cable and harness design issues, identifying root causes and developing technical solutions.
• Work closely with project teams, manufacturing functions and other engineering disciplines.
• Support product verification, environmental testing and functional trials.
• Contribute to process development, capability enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives relating to E3 workflows.
• Provide technical advice and support to resolve manufacturing and production challenges.
