Job summary

Connect2Hampshire is seeking an Intensive Support Worker in Basingstoke to join a mufti-skilled team within our North West Hampshire Specialist Intensive Worker Hub. You will support families facing complex circumstances, using a strength-based approach to help build resilience and sustainable change for children and young people.

The role involves working in homes and communities, sometimes outside standard hours, with flexibility to adapt your pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience directly with parents to develop parenting skills.
• Experience with children, young people, and families in a helping or caring capacity.
• Experience providing services to children and families with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Work intensively with a small number of families to build relationships and deliver tailored support.
• Travel to homes and communities, possibly outside standard hours including evenings and Saturdays.
• Adjust working pattern with managerial support to work creatively and responsively.
• Support families with trauma to safeguard and achieve positive outcomes for children.
• Provide direct, intensive interventions to enable parents to safeguard and achieve outcomes.
• Support children and families with a wide range of often complex needs.
• Deliver parental support identified via assessment, mainly in the family home.
• Undertake direct work with parents and children, offering guidance on agreed areas.
• Complete court reports and specialist parenting assessments after Cubas training.
• Organise and chair Family Network Meetings to engage wider support networks.
