Job summary

Merseyside Police is seeking an ACU Intelligence Researcher within the Professional Standards (PRS) directorate at Rose Hill Headquarters. The role involves proactively collating, researching, evaluating, developing, and disseminating high-quality intelligence to support ACU activity and minimise risks to staff, the organisation, and the public.

Candidates should have Level 3 (QCF) or equivalent, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Education to Level 3 (QCF) or equivalent or experience in a research support role.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and organisational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Understanding of overt and covert police operations to support ACU activity.
• Knowledge of the organisational structure and departmental functions within policing.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage a demanding workload, and use initiative.
• Willingness to undertake training on ACU-specific systems.
