Job summary

Bedfordshire Police in Stevenage is seeking an Intelligence Researcher to join the ERSOU ROCTA Unit. You will interrogate databases, collate intelligence, and produce briefings to support threat assessments.

This agile role requires strong data skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders. Applicants should be able to work to deadlines, have good written and verbal communication, and be prepared for vetting procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows-based software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to interrogate data from multiple systems and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Desirable: experience in policing and IPP (Intelligence Professionalisation Programme).

Responsibilities

• Interrogate databases to identify intelligence of value to departments or individuals.
• Conduct daily scanning or data input activities to assist in understanding threat, risk and vulnerability.
• Liaise with customers to define research requirements and provide guidance on opportunities and limitations.
• Collect and collate intelligence with provenance details and reporting.”
• Produce briefings and visual products for internal and external customers to enhance threat awareness.
