Job summary

Saab UK, based in Fareham, is seeking an Integration Team Lead to head the team responsible for assembling and integrating remotely operated vehicles and associated equipment. The role ensures projects are completed on time and in line with the configuration documents, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

You will oversee the assembly, testing and commissioning activities, including offshore commissioning when required, and drive fault finding and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous team leadership experience is essential.
• Ability to lead a fast paced production area and ensure deadlines are met.
• Strong communication skills.
• A minimum HNC/HND qualification preferably in Electronics.
• Good knowledge in the use of fibre optic termination, equipment and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Integration Engineering team in assembly, testing and commissioning of underwater robotics.
• Ensure team are trained effectively and projects meet customer specifications.
• Provide offsite/offshore commissioning and customer support as required.
• Lead fault finding and repair, and report faults in the required format.
• Interpret designs, electrical drawings to assemble and test working assemblies and prototypes.
• Comply with 6S and health & safety policies; work with other departments to deliver objectives.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
