Job summary

Barnsley Council seeks a Targeted Early Help Practitioner to join the Integrated Front Door (IFD) service, providing early help to children and families across the 0-25 age range. You will work with Social Care, Police, Health and Education in a co-located setting, responding to referrals and acting within a strengths-based framework.

You will need a Level 4 qualification or substantial relevant experience, with DBS and Police Vetting checks in place.

Qualifications

• A level 4 qualification or substantial relevant experience.
• Experience chairing multi-agency meetings.
• Ability to gather information and analyse risk.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Contacts/ Referrals from multi-agency partners.
• Assess levels of need and inform next steps.
• Engage families using strengths-based approach.
• Work with partners to improve outcomes for children.
