Job summary

Barnsley Council is recruiting a Targeted Early Help Support Practitioner to join the Children’s Services team. You will deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions to families with children and young people aged 0-25, working as part of the team around the family to improve outcomes.

You will maintain accurate records, apply safeguarding thresholds, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure timely and appropriate help. A commitment to inclusive practice is essential.

Qualifications

• A Level 4 qualification in a relevant field or substantial relevant experience of working with children, young people and families in their homes as well as within the wider community.
• Experience chairing and attending multiagency meetings to formulate plans to ensure that the families you work with receive the best possible support.
• Your communication skills, flexible approach and flair for building relationships will really set you apart.

Responsibilities

• delivering tailored, evidence-based interventions to meet a wide range of individual and family needs;
• maintaining accurate and comprehensive records to support effective practice and decision-making;
• applying a strong understanding of safeguarding and threshold frameworks to ensure appropriate support and intervention; and
• working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to champion Early Help and integrated services at all times.
