Job summary

Markel in Manchester is seeking an Insurance Sales Advisor to join a busy team in the city centre. The role focuses on converting warm leads into sales with a guaranteed base salary of £28,000 and attractive monthly bonuses, along with excellent benefits.

Work Monday to Friday with no evenings or weekends, and receive ongoing training and clear career progression. You’ll engage with customers who have already enquired about insurance, understanding their needs and advising on the right cover

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, telesales, customer service, retention or contact centre environments.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident and resilient when handling objections.
• Experience working towards targets or KPI’s.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers who have received quotes but haven’t yet purchased.
• Follow up renewals and re-engage lapsed customers.
• Handle inbound sales enquiries from new and existing customers.
• Convert opportunities into sales while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities across a range of insurance products.
• Process quotations, renewals and policy changes.
• Respond to customer queries via phone, email and live chat.
• Work towards individual and team sales targets while contributing to a high-performing team culture.
