Job summary

Clancy in Harefield is seeking an experienced Insurance Manager to lead the corporate insurance programme, manage claims activity and provide strategic risk guidance across the organisation. You will collaborate with operations, finance, legal and HSEQ teams, brokers, insurers and loss adjusters to secure robust protections and value from insurance arrangements.

• Extensive experience in handling complex liability and motor claims.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance principles and claims management.
• Experience working with brokers, insurers and loss adjusters.
• Ability to review and negotiate insurance requirements within contracts and commercial agreements.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent analytical and reporting capability.
• Experience in construction, utilities, infrastructure, or another operationally complex environment.
• ACII qualification (or progress towards one) is advantageous.

• Provide practical, commercially focused advice to operational, commercial and senior leadership teams.
• Review insurance requirements within bids, contracts and commercial agreements.
• Manage complex claims through investigation, defence and settlement.
• Monitor claims trends and identify opportunities to reduce claims frequency, cost and operational risk.
• Support a proactive approach to risk management across the business.
• Drive continuous improvement in insurance processes, reporting and service delivery.

The Role...

Taking ownership of Clancy's corporate insurance programme and claims activity, this role combines strategic responsibility with hands‑on delivery across a complex operational business.

From leading renewals and negotiating cover through to managing claims and advising on contractual requirements, you'll provide practical, commercially focused guidance that helps protect the business and deliver best value from our insurance arrangements.

You'll be an experienced insurance professional with strong technical expertise, commercial judgement and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
