Job summary

The Clancy Group in Harefield is seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Manager to lead the corporate insurance programme and claims activity, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery.

You will manage renewals, oversee liability and motor insurance, guide a small team, and provide practical, commercially focused advice to senior leadership. You will collaborate with brokers, insurers and loss adjusters to maximise value and minimise risk.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing or advising on corporate insurance programmes.
• Hands-on experience handling complex liability and motor claims.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance principles and claims management.
• Experience working with brokers, insurers and loss adjusters.
• Ability to review and negotiate insurance requirements within contracts.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent analytical and reporting capability.
• Experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure, engineering or another operationally complex environment.
• An ACII qualification, or progress towards one, would be advantageous.

• Managing complex claims through investigation, defence and settlement.
• Monitoring claims trends and identifying opportunities to reduce claims frequency, cost and operational risk.
• Supporting a proactive approach to risk management across the business.
• Driving continuous improvement in insurance processes, reporting and service delivery.

We're looking for an experienced Insurance Manager to lead Clancy's insurance programme and help us make informed decisions around risk, contractual obligations and commercial activity.

Working across the business, you'll be the trusted expert on insurance matters, partnering with operational, commercial, finance, legal and HSEQ teams, as well as brokers, insurers and loss adjusters.

The Role...

Taking ownership of Clancy's corporate insurance programme and claims activity, this role combines strategic responsibility with hands-on delivery across a complex operational business.

From leading renewals and negotiating cover through to managing claims and advising on contractual requirements, you'll provide practical, commercially focused guidance that helps protect the business and deliver best value from our insurance arrangements.

You'll be an experienced insurance professional with strong technical expertise, commercial judgement and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
