Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Director for the Insurance sector in the UK. The role focuses on Life & Pensions, Broker and General Insurance, driving pipeline origination and executive relationships across insurers, reinsurers and brokers.

The ideal candidate will position AI-led automation and data modernization, aligning with core system modernization, regulatory compliance and claims transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of insurance regulatory environment and operating models.
• Experience in Business Development or sales in Insurance Services.
• Experience in Life & Pensions, Broker and General Insurance segments in the UK/Ireland.
• Proven track record selling consulting, transformation, or managed services to insurers.
• Exposure to platforms such as Sapiens, Majesco, Salesforce FSC, Snowflake is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Account & Pipeline Development: identify and target insurance accounts; develop pursuit plans and transform opportunities with insurers and brokers; craft tailored value propositions; lead workshops and bids.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: build trusted CIO/COO relationships; participate in forums and roundtables; enable cross-functional campaigns and sales enablement; mentor junior team members.
