Job summary

Pen Underwriting is looking for a Data Technician within the Business Operations team. The role focuses on data ingestion, quality monitoring, troubleshooting with brokers, and delivering reports to insurer partners and internal stakeholders.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to process improvements in insurance data management. Hybrid in-office/remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, and data analysis from spreadsheets.
• Analytical mindset with ability to understand data validations and behaviour concepts.
• Ability to interpret data trends and communicate findings to stakeholders and management.
• Strong relationship-building and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to take ownership of processes and issues from investigation to resolution.
• Insurance experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Hybrid role requiring in-office and remote work flexibility.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Monitor & troubleshoot insurance data quality and resolve queries with brokers.
• Deliver comprehensive insurance reports to insurer partners and internal stakeholders.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency."
• Collaborate with Pen teams across actuarial pricing, Operations and Finance on ad hoc data projects.
