Job summary

Ips Group in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced insurance professional to lead its insurance function, focusing on compliance, risk and regulatory responsibilities. The role offers hybrid working and a pathway to shape governance and insurer relationships.

You will own insurer partnerships, portfolio oversight and regulatory frameworks, with direct exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to drive performance improvements across underwriting, delegated authority and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in underwriting, broking, delegated authority or compliance.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations and regulated environments.
• Commercially minded with data-driven decision skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary relationship holder with insurer, underwriting and capacity partners.
• Lead development and governance of insurance policies and procedures.
• Oversee FCA compliance requirements and monitoring plans.
• Provide regulatory guidance to stakeholders across the business.
• Produce MI and reports for senior leadership.
• Drive portfolio performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
