Job summary

Ocorian seeks an Account Manager to provide professional accounting and back-office services for Bermuda insurance clients, focusing on regulatory compliance and accurate financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS. You will liaise with clients, bankers and regulators to support listings and reporting requirements.

The role requires a Chartered Accountant with 3+ years PQE, strong client-facing skills, and a willingness to contribute to business development within a global, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant i.e., Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years’ post qualification experience, preference for 1 year of insurance or funds related experience.
• A detailed knowledge of GAAP and IFRS financial statements
• The ability to apply internal controls and compliance procedures in client service

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients, Bermuda insurance companies, using technical knowledge for banking, regulatory compliance and ad hoc requests.
• Maintain clients’ accounting records and prepare financial reports under US GAAP or IFRS.
• Liaise directly with clients, bankers, brokers, auditors, regulators and other service providers.
• Assist in the development of new areas of business and marketing.
• Coordinate listing services with Bermuda Stock Exchange or other exchanges as needed.
• Prepare Statutory Financial Returns under the Bermuda Insurance Act 1978.
• Review procedures to ensure compliance with best practice
