Job summary

Premier Insurance, part of the JMG Group, is expanding and seeking an Insurance Broker in Consett. The role focuses on converting enquiries into policies, maximizing retention and revenue, and delivering excellent customer service on calls and in person.

You will handle quotations, close sales, and manage a large caseload with accuracy, while building strong relationships with clients and insurers. Cert CII progression is encouraged though not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal lines insurance is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products and FCA compliance.
• Proven sales success in a customer-focused environment.
• Ability to manage large caseloads with accuracy.
• I.T. skills including SSP or Acturis software.
• Commitment to pursuing Cert CII qualifications.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an additional Insurance Broker to join the team.

The Opportunity

Working as an Insurance Broker, you will be required to maximise sales performance by way of converting enquiries into live policies, and you will maximise customer retention and all revenue opportunities whilst providing effective customer service by handling calls, providing quotations, closing sales, and facilitating customer enquiries; both on the phone and those who customers that call into the office.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

To be considered for this position you must possess the following:

• Personal lines experience is preferred with some commercial awareness
• Able to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers
• Knowledge of insurance products and principles and FCA compliance
• Proven track record of sales success within a customer service focused environment
• Ability to multi-task and handle large caseloads
• I.T. skills including use of an insurance IT system, ideally SSP or Acturis.
• The ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
• Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurers.
• Willingness to work towards Cert CII or already hold qualifications.
