Job summary

WRS Insurance Brokers, part of Benefact Group, invites applications for an Insurance Apprentice in Colchester. The role focuses on administrative support, high-level service to brokers and customers, and practical learning toward a Level 3 Certificate in Insurance.

Working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract (up to 18 months), you’ll gain experience in renewals, mid-term adjustments, quotations and general insurance duties while developing industry skills.

Qualifications

• GCSEs English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and IT skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by building and maintaining relationships with clients, insurers and underwriters.
• Manage policy renewals, mid‑term adjustments, queries and other insurance administration.
• Help secure and retain business by identifying suitable and cost‑effective insurance solutions for clients.
• Support new business activities, including preparing quotations and ensuring all documentation is completed.
• Work in line with company procedures, regulatory requirements and customer service standards while achieving team objectives.

About The Role

WRS Insurance, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for an Insurance Apprentice to join our Colchester office.

As an Insurance Apprentice, you will provide exceptional administrative support to the team, delivering high levels of service to brokers and customer; whilst learning the job, building knowledge and skills to gain a Level 3 Certificate in Insurance, and preparing for going out into the workplace.

What you'll be doing
