Job summary

United Utilities is seeking an Instrumentation Field Service Engineer to keep our wastewater treatment operations running safely and reliably. You’ll diagnose faults, perform planned maintenance and calibrate instrumentation across our sites, working closely with process, operations and engineering teams.

This hands-on role requires a Level 3 qualification in Instrumentation/Mechatronics or equivalent, strong problem-solving skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) in Instrumentation, Electrical, Control or Mechatronics
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with industrial/process instrumentation or similar
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals and P&IDs
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding, repairing and calibrating instrumentation including flow, pressure, level and analytical equipment
• Completing reactive and planned maintenance across the Crewe region
• Supporting installations, upgrades and project teams with technical expertise
• Providing high-quality digital work records and documentation
• Working safely and professionally across all sites
