Job summary

United Utilities is seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our production team. You will maintain, fault‑find, and improve critical water assets across industrial sites, travelling from a home base with a company van.

Expect a mix of planned maintenance, reactive work and improvements with strong development opportunities. The role requires industrial electrical experience, 400V three‑phase work, and the ability to read electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical maintenance and fault finding experience in an operational setting.
• Experience with pumps, installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of 400V three-phase motors and control wiring.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical works
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to maximise asset reliability
• Working on a range of industrial electrical systems across sites
• Supporting capital and operational project work
• Working safely in confined spaces and high risk environments
• Collaborating with internal teams and supervising electrical contractors
• Recording maintenance activities and following safety procedures
• Participating in standby rota with standby payments where applicable
