Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician for a site-based role in Alton. You will maintain and service instrumentation and control equipment, respond to breakdowns, and support installations alongside engineers and contractors.

The role covers routine and non-routine maintenance, ensuring safe operation of production and gas plant facilities while upholding high safety standards and efficient plant performance.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years' relevant maintenance experience.
• Instrumentation qualification - Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3.
• Good working knowledge of electrical systems.
• Understanding of the oil & gas industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to plan and prioritise effectively.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work under pressure.
• IT literate and confident communicating with colleagues and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs.
• Servicing process control instrumentation including transmitters, controllers and analysers.
• Maintaining site services and equipment to a safe working standard.
• Responding to out-of-hours plant breakdowns where required.
• Carrying out equipment isolations to permit requirements.
• Supporting installation and commissioning of new plant.
• Working with specialist engineers and contractors.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety.

Are you an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician looking for a varied role within a specialist industrial environment?

Our client is looking for an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join their maintenance team, supporting the safe and efficient operation of production and gas plant facilities.

You'll be responsible for routine and non-routine maintenance, servicing instrumentation and control equipment, responding to breakdowns, supporting new installations and working alongside specialist engineers and contractors.

The Role
