Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Senior/Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer. The role requires a relevant STEM degree, alongside substantial experience in PLC/SCADA systems. You will be responsible for functional design, customer liaison, and producing documentation for technical projects.

Job Description:

Senior / Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Undertaking functional design, providing specialist advice, and producing evidence
• Liaising with internal and external customers as part of a technical team
• Electrical/Electronic installation for Communications and C&I
• Design of Test Infrastructure and Hardware
• Writing and producing technical & test documents

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent
• Experience in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system verification test design, or parts specification is advantageous
• Good technical knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Communications Systems (VoIP networks, Broadcast PA, or trunked radio systems) or Control & Instrumentation (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Fanuc PLCs)
