Job summary

A leading company in the UK is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to handle routine and non-routine maintenance checks and repairs. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in maintenance and an instrument qualification, ensuring compliance with safety practices while maintaining site services. This role requires the ability to respond to emergencies and maintain a clean working environment.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of maintenance experience with installed instruments and/or electrical systems.
  • Good working knowledge of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and recording routine and non-routine maintenance checks.
  • Carrying out servicing of process control instrumentation equipment.
  • Responding to 24-hour call outs for plant breakdowns.

Responsibilities:
  1. Identifying, scheduling, carrying out, and recording routine maintenance checks.
  2. Identifying, scheduling, carrying out, and recording non-routine maintenance repairs.
  3. Carrying out routine servicing of various process control instrumentation equipment such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers, etc.
  4. Assisting with or executing vendor-specified routine maintenance.
  5. Maintaining all site services in good working order and ensuring compliance with safe working practices.
  6. Responding to 24-hour call outs and providing advice on plant breakdowns outside normal working hours where possible.
  7. Performing general housekeeping to keep facilities clean, tidy, and free of preventable hazards.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 4-5 years of maintenance experience with equipment related to installed instruments and/or electrical systems.
  • Instrument qualification (apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3) with a good working knowledge of electrical systems.
