TeacherActive is partnering with a large Further and Higher Education college in Leamington Spa to appoint an Instructor Technician in Electrical Installations. The role covers Level 1 and Level 2 City & Guilds courses, with a focus on delivering practical workshop sessions and developing learners' technical skills.

The position is full-time and temporary, 37 hours per week, starting 07/09/2026, with market-leading pay and ongoing CPD support available.

Qualifications

Job Title: Instructor Technician in Electrical Installations

Salary: £25 - £35 per hour

Are you an experienced Instructor Technician with a strong background in Electrical Installations?

Do you hold Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Installation qualifications alongside an Assessor and Teaching qualification?

Can you confidently deliver practical workshop sessions to Level 1 and Level 2 Electrical Installation learners?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large Further and Higher Education college in Leamington Spa with an excellent reputation for vocational education and training. The college is committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences that develop students' skills and prepare them for successful progression into further study and employment.

The college is looking to appoint an Instructor Technician in Electrical Installations on a full-time temporary basis, working 37 hours per week from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4pm on Friday, with the end date currently TBC. The successful Instructor Technician in Electrical Installations will cover Level 1 and Level 2 City & Guilds Electrical Installation courses, delivering practical workshop sessions and supporting learners to develop their technical skills and competencies.

The successful Instructor Technician in Electrical Installations will have:

• Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Electrical Installation
• A recognised Assessor qualification
• A recognised Teaching qualification
• Previous Instructor and/or Assessing experience
• Experience supporting learners within practical Electrical Installation workshop sessions
• Strong communication, organisation and learner engagement skills
