Job summary

Meridian Business Support Limited is partnering with a well-established MEP contractor near Deeside to recruit a Working Mechanical Supervisor. The role covers installation, service, repair and maintenance of commercial plumbing, heating and renewable systems across small works, maintenance contracts and site installations.

The successful candidate will supervise hands-on installation, read drawings, coordinate with other trades, and ensure HSE compliance.

Qualifications

• Blue or Gold Plumber/Heating Engineer/ Pipefitter CSCS card required.
• CSCS Plumber or Pipefitter.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Diploma in Plumbing & Heating.
• IPAF not essential but beneficial.
• SSSTS/SMSTS not essential but beneficial.
• Experience of commercial installation & maintenance contracts.
• Minimum of 10 years experience with Mechanical Building Services.
• Full, clean UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Mixture of installation and supervising (c.90% hands-on installation/10% supervising).
• Overseeing installation of plumbing and heating systems on commercial, domestic, and industrial sites.
• Reading drawings and coordinating with management to achieve project goals.
• Working with other trades and subcontractors on site.
• Guiding teams and supporting engineers and subcontractors.

Meridian are working with a well-establishedMEPcontractor near Deeside thatare growing a new Mechanical division and have opportunities for an ambitious Working Mechanical Supervisor tobe involved with the installation, service, repair and maintenance of Commercial Plumbing, Heating & Renewable systems, as well as short-term call outs. • Overseeing installation of plumbing and heating systemson commercial, domestic, and industrial sites


• Working alongside other trades and subcontractors


• Guiding and supporting teams of workers carrying out the installations


• Working on the installation or helping to guide other engineers and subcontractors


• Ability to read drawings and work closely with management teams to achieve project goals


• Ability to work independently on set tasks, or in larger teams when required


• Attend emergency call outs to diagnose and repair issues efficiently


• Working to deadlines for project delivery, with excellent time-keeping skills


• Full understanding and compliance with onsite HSE


• Willingness to learn and progress
