Job summary

THE RECRUITMENT FIX LIMITED is seeking an Electrical Installation Supervisor for a reputable Heywood-based manufacturing environment. The role oversees electrical installation activities, coordinates site teams, ensures safety and compliance, and drives on-time project delivery.

You will report to the Installation Manager and prepare documentation and quotations as needed. Candidates should have NVQ3 in electrical installation, City & Guilds 2391 testing, and at least 5 years of hands-on

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in electrical installation work
• City and Guild 2391 testing and inspection (or approved equivalent)
• Health and Safety Training (CSCS or ECS)
• IPAF Training
• Must have 5+ years hands-on experience on industrial electrical installations
• Knowledge of IEE regulations and BS7671 standards

Responsibilities

• Provide adequate and cost-effective technical support
• Ensure jobs are completed on time and deviations from original contract are reported to the installation manager
• Utilise site personnel effectively to ensure efficient job progress
• Maximise efficient use of materials and stock
• Maintain adequate levels of performance and behaviour from all site personnel
• Review site documentation and ensure it is completed correctly
• Report on site personnel to assist in employee appraisal
• Prepare quotations from client documentation under guidance of the installation manager
• Prepare site/electrical documentation such as material lists and cable schedules
• Install cable containment
• Mount mechanical equipment (Isolators, JB's)
• Run and clip cables
• Gland cables using stuffing glands
• Make final terminations per schedules or schematics
• Earth plant equipment per BS7671
• Test the electrical installation to BS7671/NICEIC standards
• Ensure site is kept in an orderly manner
• Assist with Panel Division when required
• Test electrical control panels

Our client is a reputable manufacturer in Heywood and due to continued growth are looking for an Electrical Installation Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide adequate and cost-effective technical support

• Gland cables using stuffing glands and all industrial type glands
• Make final terminations as per cable schedules or schematics
• Earth plant equipment in accordance with BS7671
• Test the electrical installation on completion to BS7671/NICEIC standards
• Ensure site is kept in an orderly manner
• Ability to assist with Panel Division when required (see panel job description)
• Test electrical control panels

About you

• Registered apprentice or underwent some equivalent method of training
• NVQ level 3 in electrical installation work (or approved equivalent)
• City and Guide 2391 test and inspection in electrical testing (or approved equivalent)
• At least 5 years ‘hands on' experience working on industrial electrical installations
• Must have a working knowledge of the national working rules for the electrical contracting industry, the current I.E.E. regulations for electrical installations and the construction industry safety regulations.
