Job summary

Our Client, a family-owned M&E building services contractor, seeks an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee electrical installation works on commercial projects. You will manage site teams, coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.

Working closely with Project Managers and engineers, you will lead installation, testing, commissioning and handover while maintaining strong health and safety compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or Level 3 electrical installation qualification, or equivalent.
• 18th Edition
• 2391 or equivalent
• SMSTS/SSSTS
• Relevant ECS card appropriate to the role.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, drawings, specifications and site procedures.
• Experience managing site operatives, subcontractors and installation programmes.
• Good knowledge of health and safety procedures and construction-site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day electrical installation activities on site.
• Supervise electricians, electrical supervisors and subcontractors.
• Plan and coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, programmes and applicable regulations.
• Monitor project progress and report issues, delays and risks to the Project Manager.
• Ensure RAMS and health and safety compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor installation quality.
• Manage variations, technical queries, snagging and remedial works.
• Liaise with the main contractor, consultants, suppliers and other trades.
• Oversee electrical testing, commissioning support and final handover documentation.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and quality documentation.
• Attend site meetings and contribute to programme planning and problem-solving.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee electrical installation works across commercial building-services projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site teams, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining health and safety standards, and ensuring electrical works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.Working closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors and the wider construction team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of electrical packages from installation through to testing, commissioning and handover.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
