Job summary

Meridian is recruiting an Electrical Supervisor for a growing industrial M&E contractor near Oxford. The role covers hospitals, water plants, factories and power facilities with regional projects across the south of England. You'll benefit from overtime, a company van with fuel card, and progression opportunities.

Starting salary £47k–£49k p.a. DoE, with potential to reach £55k+ with overtime. Immediate start subject to secure application, and travel is involved across regional sites.

Qualifications

• Gold JIB card is required
• BS7671 18th Edition required
• SSSTS/SMSTS required
• Additional qualifications (IPAF, EUSR, 2391 I&T, PASMA) are beneficial
• Industrial M&E site experience is essential
• Experience supervising on hospitals, water treatment works, pharma plants, water/utilities, MoD/high-security sites
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
• Overnight stays may be required

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of industrial electrical equipment on various projects and sites
• Lead and coordinate electrical installations onsite
• Collaborate with other trades, subcontractors and staff on industrial facilities
• Read/interpret electrical drawings, schematics and cable schedules
• Assist management with project sign-offs and end-of-project reports
• Report progress to management and support project paperwork
• Coordinate materials and procurement on site
• Follow site induction, HSE and compliance procedures
• Support commissioning and fault finding of ICA systems
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and HSE requirements

Electrical Supervisor

Meridian are working with a growingindustrial M&E contractor based nearOxfordthat are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join their permanent team.Many of their projects are based within the region so will offer a variety of industrial sites such as hospitals, pharmaceutical plants, water treatment works, factories, engineering facilities, manufactories, and power plants. There is plenty of overtime and additional earning opportunities, so if you're lookingfor a permanent position with a variety of projects and excellent earning potential then this opportunity is perfect for you!

Requirements for the role:

• Additional qualifications are NOT essential but could be beneficial e.g IPAF, EUSR card, 2391 I&T, PASMA etc
• Relevant industry experience on industrial M&E sites
• Experience supervising and working on sites such as hospitals, water treatment works, pharmaceutical plants, water and utilities, MoD and high-security sites, etc.
• Full UK driving licence (there will be travel involved in this role)
• Ability to sometimes stay away on overnight stays when required

Duties will include (but are not exclusive to):

• Overseeing and Supervising the installation of industrial electrical equipment on various sized projects and sites
• Lead and co-ordinate Electrical installations onsite
• Working alongside other trades, subcontractors, and permanent staff on functionalindustrial facilities
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and cable schedules. Red line and update drawings accordingly based off project progression
• Work closely with management staff to help project sign offs by assisting with the end of project reports
• Reporting progress to management teams to assist them with their technical support on compliance, reports, and project paperwork
• Help to co-ordinate materials and procurement processes based on onsite usage
• Following site induction, HSE, and compliance procedures at all times to ensure your own and other people's health & safety
• Support commissioning and fault finding of electrical and ICA systems
• Keeping up to date with industry regulations and HSE governing bodies to ensure compliance and
