Selwood Limited is seeking an Installation Operative to join our growing team. You will install pipework on customer sites across the UK and assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment.

Based from our Birmingham (Wolverhampton) branch, this role requires travel, physical work, and a commitment to safety. A safety-critical medical is required and a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Subject to safety critical medical.
• Must be willing to travel to jobs throughout the UK and on occasions work away from home.
• Must have a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
• Experience in civil engineering, construction, or armed forces background preferred.

Responsabilités

• Install pipework and assist drivers with loading/unloading of vehicles; check paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
• Promote the company’s mission and safety across UK sites and on client assignments.
• Exercise safety first at all times and report any safety issues to your supervisor.
• Identify improvements to make installations faster, safer, and more cost-effective.
• Work on customer sites across the UK; may visit the branch occasionally.

About The Role:

To help us achieve our expansion ambitions we are looking for an Installation Operative to hit the ground running within our growing team. If you have experience within civil engineering, the construction industry or have an armed forces background, and are looking for a career in a reputable business with fantastic progression paths, then this is the role for you!

You will be based out of our Birmingham (Wolverhampton) branch, but you will predominately work out on our customer sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water, with the occasional visits into branch.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• You will promote and exercise the company's mission statement and core values to deliver a high-quality installation service across the UK.
• Your role will be to install pipework and assist our drivers with loading and unloading of our vehicles as well as checking against paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
• As this is a physically demanding role a good level of fitness is required.
• Identify and recommend creative solutions and processes to make our business more unique and attractive and to become more efficient.
• Put safety first every time, demonstrate the confidence, knowledge, and experience to stop the installation and advise your supervisor if any safety issues arise at any time.

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

This role is subject to a safety critical medical.

Essential

• Must have the aptitude to work on client sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water.
• Flexible working hours and be available to be part of an 'on call' rota .
• Must be willing to travel to jobs throughout the UK and on occasions work away from home.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).

Preferred

• Holder of a construction skills CSCS card.
• National Water Hygiene Card.
• Confined space trained.
• Forklift truck operator certification.
• An understanding of the workings of a temporary / permanent pumping solution.
