Job summary

Selwood is seeking a dedicated Installation Operative for our Liverpool branch. The role involves working at the branch yard and on-site for pump installations, under the direction of Installation Supervisors. You will be heavily involved in day-to-day operations across the surrounding region.

The role requires travel across the UK, on-call availability, and a willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed. A safety-critical medical may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have the aptitude to work on client sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water.
• Flexible working hours and be available to be part of an on-call rota.
• Must be willing to travel to jobs throughout the UK and on occasions work away from home.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).

Responsibilities

• Promote and exercise the company’s mission statement and core values to deliver the required uniformed approach to an installation across the UK.
• Carry out installations and deinstallations of pumps, pipework and associated equipment as directed by the Installation Supervisor.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading of vehicles and checking against paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
• Always maintain a clean and organised work area on-site.
• Work with specialist sub-contractors to complete the project in hand.
• Prioritise safety and stop installations if any safety issues arise and inform the supervisor.

About The Role

We're l ooking for a dedicated and motivated Installation Operative to join our Installations Team our Liverpool branch. This role will involve working both at our branch yard and on-site for pump installations as needed.

The Installation Operative will be heavily involved in the day to day operations of our branch and projects within the surrounding region under the direction of the Installation Supervisors.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Promote and exercise the company’s mission statement and core values to deliver the required uniformed approach to an installation across the UK.
• Carry out installations and deinstallations of pumps, pipework and associated equipment. as directed by the Installation Supervisor
• Assist our drivers with loading and unloading of our vehicles as well as checking against paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
• Always maintain a clean and organised work area on-site.
• Work in conjunction with specialist sub-contractors, require completing the project in hand.
• Put safety first every time, demonstrate the confidence, knowledge, and experience to stop the installation and advise your supervisor if any safety issues arise at any time

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

Preferred (but Not Essential)

• Holder of a construction Skills CSCS card
• National Water Hygiene Card
• Confined space trained
• Forklift truck operator certification
• An understanding of the workings of a temporary / permanent pumping solution

This role requires the employees to be willing and able to work at heights, work in confined spaces, lone working and work with sewage .

This role is subject to a safety critical medical.
