Job description

Job Title: Installation Manager – Renewable Energy

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 base + bonus up to £8,500

Location: Kent & Essex

Imagine taking the helm of a nationwide installation operation where your leadership ensures every homeowner’s journey to clean energy is seamless, safe and on schedule. You’re driven by high standards, relish hands‑on problem solving and thrive on coordinating multiple teams to deliver cutting‑edge Solar PV, battery storage and EV charger installations. If you’re ready to shape how a fast‑growing renewable business scales its field operations, this role is your next challenge.

Why this role

You will lead end‑to‑end delivery across domestic projects, turning technical designs into fully commissioned systems that delight customers and protect margins. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll build and motivate installation teams, refine processes and embed best‑practice quality and safety standards. Your decisions will drive on‑time completion, regulatory compliance and continuous operational improvement.

What you’ll do

You will manage multiple UK sites simultaneously, coordinating specialist installers, scaffolding and logistics partners to keep projects on programme.

Conducting pre‑tender surveys, you’ll provide technical design and procurement input that ensures accurate bills of materials and cost‑effective sourcing.

On site, you’ll oversee testing, commissioning and handover, confirming systems meet performance targets and all documentation is audit‑ready.

By monitoring labour and material budgets, you’ll safeguard project profitability while driving safety improvements under CDM regulations and H&S legislation.

Backed by deep solar expertise and a commitment to sustainability, we deliver tailored consultations, robust system designs and professional installations that stand the test of time. Our digitally enabled platform and supportive culture empower every team member to deliver excellence at scale.

About you

You hold recognised electrical and renewable‑energy qualifications (e.g. C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2 or NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition BS 7671, SSSTS, MCS‑accredited Solar PV certification). You have proven leadership experience managing field teams and subcontractors on residential Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging projects. Your strong organisational skills and technical know‑how enable you to resolve on‑site challenges swiftly, while your commercial insight keeps projects profitable. A full UK driving licence and ECS Gold Card are essential
