You would be working on large-scale projects focused on enabling the transmission of green energy.You will become part of the Hitachi Energy HVDC Installation Department, a global organisation with team members in 15+ countries, responsible for executing all mechanical and electrical installation activities in our delivery projects worldwide.This role is site-based, with travel included. The first project assignment will be based in Peterhead for approximately 18 months. After this project is completed, we have further projects located in the same area. There will also be opportunities for projects across the UK and globally; therefore, any candidate applying for this role will need to be willing to travel.Whilst most of the time will be spent on location or at the specific project you are assigned to, regular travel home will be provided.You will be part of a team of Hitachi Energy employees with different responsibilities on site during the execution of work. There will be a Site Manager who is overall responsible for the Hitachi Energy works. There will also be specialists within areas such as quality, health and safety, planning, and more.You will be leading a team of installation experts and will be responsible for the installation and testing of electrical and mechanical equipment procured and delivered by Hitachi Energy.
