Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Automation and Communication scope for HVDC projects based in Glasgow or Birmingham. You will work across interfaces with engineering management and customers to deliver technology solutions.

You will drive planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination, coach teams, and ensure safety standards while delivering on time and within contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant technical area.
• Experience in the energy sector.
• Experience in project management and bid management; comfortable with technical negotiations to support your team.

• Ensure engineering is developed with complete information and multidisciplinary inputs.

• Interacts directly with customers, officials, contractors and supply chain.
• Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager. coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals, problems faced are difficult and often complex.

Background:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree within the relevant technical area.
• You have previous experience working with energy sector.
