Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking a GIS Technical Advisor to join our team and strengthen the UK's energy network. You will be responsible for the safe installation, testing, and maintenance of Gas Insulated Switchgear across the UK, following Hitachi Energy standards.

After completing training you will own projects, coordinate on-site activities, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure safety compliance, and build customer relationships while delivering high-quality results in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in electro-mechanical engineering.
• Experience in the power generation, transmission and distribution industry.
• Experience and/or certification in GIS installation desirable.
• Proven leadership abilities to manage and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the coordination and execution of on-site installation and maintenance activities.
• Use your working knowledge of Gas Insulated Switchgear to make informed decisions on technical matters.
• Proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects/services are safely and successfully delivered.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement quality assurance measures to minimize project risks.
• Build relationships with customers, pursue new business opportunities, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Prepare field reports, protocols, and updates on site progress.
