Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer in London and surrounding areas. The role focuses mainly on installation with some maintenance, handling high-end residential properties and commercial offices.

You will install VRV/VRF and split systems, fit AHUs/FCUs, and work from drawings to ensure safe, high-quality installations with client interaction on site.

Qualifications

• Strong air conditioning installation experience is essential.
• F-Gas Category 1 qualification is essential.
• Experience installing VRV/VRF and split systems is required.
• Knowledge of AHUs and FCUs is advantageous.
• Good communication and customer service skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Install VRV/VRF and split air conditioning systems across sites.
• Install and replace AHUs and FCUs as required.
• Position equipment, run pipework and condensate drainage.
• Set up systems from drawings and specs; assist with testing and commissioning.
• Carry out approximately 25% service and maintenance work.

Air Conditioning Installation Engineer

Location: London & Surrounding Areas – Mainly within the M25
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE + Overtime
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm – some flexibility
Role: 75% Installation / 25% Maintenance

We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join an established HVAC company covering London and the surrounding areas.

The position is approximately 75% installation and 25% maintenance, working mainly across high-end residential properties and commercial office buildings, with some retail sites.

We're looking for a technically strong engineer with solid AC installation experience who is comfortable working independently and dealing directly with clients.

The Role

• Installation of VRV / VRF systems
• Installation of split and multi-split air conditioning systems
• Installation and replacement of AHUs and FCUs
• Compressor installation and replacement
• Installing associated pipework, condensate drainage, brackets and supports
• Equipment positioning and system set-up
• Working from drawings and project specifications
• Assisting with testing and commissioning of newly installed systems
• Carrying out approximately 25% service and maintenance work
• PPMs, reactive maintenance and fault finding when required
• Diagnosing faults and replacing defective components
• Working across high-end residential, office and retail environments
• Liaising directly with clients and providing a professional service on site
• Ensuring installations are completed safely and to a high standard

No chiller work is required within this position.

What We're Looking For

• Strong Air Conditioning installation experience
• F-Gas Category 1 essential
• Experience installing VRV/VRF and split systems
• Good knowledge of AHUs and FCUs
• City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning desirable but not essential
• Confident carrying out maintenance and fault finding when required
• Strong technical ability
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong and stable employment history
• Full UK driving licence
