Job summary

Haitch Recruitment is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join our expanding team on commercial and industrial projects across the UK. You will manage installations, oversee junior engineers and ensure projects are delivered to high standards.

The role covers Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and London with nationwide travel when required. Employed or self-employed arrangements will be considered based on experience and preference.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
• NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or an equivalent qualification.
• Valid F-Gas certification.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Proven installation experience with VRV/VRF systems and split systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
• Experience managing your own projects and supervising junior engineers.
• Good timekeeping, attendance and communication skills.
• A flexible approach to travel, including nationwide coverage when required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out air conditioning installation work across commercial and industrial projects.
• Installing a variety of systems, including VRV/VRF, split systems, DX and close control equipment.
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, technical plans and schematics.
• Managing installation projects independently and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
• Coordinating and overseeing junior engineers working on projects.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety, workmanship and professionalism.
• Travelling to sites across the UK as required.

Salary: £48,000–£53,000 per annum, depending on experience

Alternative: Self-employed option available, with rates of up to £250 per day

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join a growing team working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects across the UK.

The majority of work will be based across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and London, although candidates must be willing and able to travel nationwide when required.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in air conditioning installation, who can confidently manage their own projects and oversee junior engineers on site.

Both employed and self-employed arrangements will be considered, depending on the candidate's experience and preference.

Salary & Benefits

• £48,000–£53,000 per annum for employed engineers, depending on experience
• Self-employed rates of up to £250 per day, depending on experience

Requirements

To be considered for this Air Conditioning Installation Engineer position, you will need:

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time opportunity, with the majority of projects located across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and London. Nationwide travel will also be required depending on project demands.

Occasional weekend work may be necessary, with overtime opportunities available.
