Job summary

The People Pod in Bolton is seeking an Installation Coordinator to join a busy installations team. You will manage the installation diary, coordinate nationwide bookings and ensure customers, branch managers and the ordering department stay aligned on schedules.

This is a hands-on coordination role, not a sales position, requiring excellent communication and the ability to move multiple jobs forward in a fast-paced environment. Salary up to £36,400, full-time permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Own the installation diary and coordinate bookings from order to installation.
• Coordinate window, door and conservatory installations nationwide.
• Schedule fitting teams and liaise with Branch Managers across the UK.
• Work with Ordering Department to ensure products/materials are available ahead of installation.
• Coordinate customers, branches and teams to agree suitable installation dates.
• Monitor upcoming installations and identify potential delays.
• Reschedule installations when plans change.
• Maintain accurate customer, order and installation information in systems.
• Handle customer and colleague inquiries via phone and email.
• Keep all parties updated throughout the process.
• Take ownership of queries and drive to resolution.
• Prioritise multiple jobs and deadlines in a busy environment.
• Support wider installations and operations team as needed.

Salary: Earnings up £36,400 + PA

The Opportunity

Are you highly organised, great at juggling multiple priorities and experienced in coordinating bookings, installations, engineers or field-based teams?

We're recruiting an Installation Coordinator to join a busy, established business operating within the windows, doors and conservatories sector.

Working as part of a fast-paced installations team, you'll be responsible for coordinating and booking installations across a nationwide branch network, ensuring customers, branch managers, installation teams and the internal ordering department are all working to the same schedule.

This is not a sales role. It's a hands-on coordination position where organisation, communication and the ability to keep multiple jobs moving are key.

What You'll Be Doing

As Installation Coordinator, you'll take ownership of the installation diary and help ensure jobs are planned efficiently from order through to installation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and booking window, door and conservatory installations nationwide


• Managing busy installation diaries and scheduling fitting teams


• Liaising closely with Branch Managers across the UK


• Working alongside the Ordering Department to ensure products and materials are available ahead of installation


• Coordinating customers, branches and installation teams to agree suitable installation dates


• Monitoring upcoming installations and identifying potential issues before they cause delays


• Rescheduling installations when circumstances change


• Maintaining accurate customer, order and installation information on internal systems


• Handling telephone and email enquiries from customers and colleagues


• Keeping all parties updated throughout the installation process


• Taking ownership of queries and following them through to resolution


• Prioritising multiple jobs and deadlines within a busy environment


• Supporting the wider installations and operations team when requiredWhat We're Looking For

You may already be working as an:

• Installation Coordinator, Installation Planner, Booking Coordinator, Scheduling Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Works Coordinator, Customer Service Coordinator, Repairs Planner or Operations Coordinator.

We're particularly interested in people with experience of:

• Booking and diary management


• Scheduling installers, engineers, tradespeople or field-based teams


• Coordinating multiple jobs simultaneously


• Working within a fast-paced operational environment


• Confident telephone and email communication


• Building relationships with branch managers and internal departments


• Accurate data entry and record keeping


• Microsoft Office and computer-based scheduling systems


• Prioritising workloads when plans and deadlines changePrevious experience within windows, doors, conservatories, home improvements, construction, building products, property maintenance or a similar installation-led environment would be particularly advantageous, although isn't essential.

Above all, we're looking for somebody who is organised, proactive, dependable and comfortable taking ownership.
