Job summary

Lucid Support Services Ltd invites applications for a Desktop Installation Engineer to support a large-scale Glasgow deployment through to December 2026. The role is field-based, visiting multiple customer sites across Glasgow, with mileage paid at 40p per mile and a focus on delivering installations to tight project timelines.

Candidates must hold an active Disclosure Scotland Level 1 clearance or be willing to obtain it before starting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
• Carry out hardware refreshes, desk-side installations, and equipment swaps for end users.
• Perform basic setup, testing, and troubleshooting of IT equipment.
• Ensure installations meet standards and timelines.
• Provide excellent customer service and user support during deployments.
• Maintain accurate installation records and update project documentation.
• Escalate issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.

Desktop Installation Engineer - Glasgow - Contract Until End of 2026

Here at Lucid, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Desktop Installation Engineer to join a large-scale Install project across the Glasgow area through to December 2026.

This is a field-based role where you will be responsible for visiting multiple customer sites across Glasgow, typically attending 1-2 sites per day, although this may vary depending on the deployment schedule. All Mileage will be paid at 40p per mile.

Important Security Requirement

Candidates must hold an active Disclosure Scotland Level 1 clearance or be willing to undergo and successfully obtain a Disclosure Scotland Level 1 check before starting.

Key Responsibilities
