Job summary

University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI Perth) invites applications for a part-time Lecturer in Social Work. Based in Perth, Scotland, the role delivers Health, Wellbeing and Social Services teaching across multiple levels, with PVG clearance required and a Practice Learning award essential.

Post-qualification experience in social work placements and knowledge of SiSWE are desirable. The post is 2 x 17.5 hours per week, permanent, with salary £43,402 - £52,247 per annum, pro rata.

Qualifications

• Deliver and demonstrate all aspects of Health, Wellbeing and Social Services in teaching environments.
• Hold a Practice Learning award, with post-qualifying experience of working with social work students on placement.
• Experience with Standards of Social Work Education (SiSWE) and willingness to work towards a teaching qualification (TQFE) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching in Health, Wellbeing and Social Services from HNC to Postgraduate level.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and assess modules and learning activities.
• Demonstrate clear communication, teamwork, planning and self-motivation.
