Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated SEN Tutors to provide 1:1 support to students across Barnet. The role includes working with learners in and around Barnet who are out of mainstream education, including those awaiting school placements or on EOTAS provisions.

Deliver personalised tuition focusing on ASD/ADHD/SEMH needs, EHCP targets, and building trusting relationships with learners and families. Flexible, term-time, temporary part-time hours are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with SEND.
• Ability to deliver personalised learning and adapt resources.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, tailored 1:1 tuition sessions meeting each student's needs.
• Support students with SEND who may have disruption to their education.
• Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies for various learning profiles and EHCP targets.
• Promote confidence, independence, and positive engagement with learning.
• Use differentiated approaches to meet academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, local authorities, and other professionals.
• Monitor, record, and report on student progress and outcomes.
