Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to provide 1:1 support to students across Wembley, with flexible hours to fit around term-time schedules. The role focuses on learners with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.

You will deliver personalised learning programmes and build positive relationships with learners and their families. The ideal candidate will have experience with SEND, be able to adapt resources, and hold Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with SEND.
• Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
• Ability to deliver personalised learning and adapt resources effectively.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, tailored 1:1 tuition sessions that meet each student's individual educational and developmental needs.
• Support students with SEND who may have experienced significant disruption to their education.
• Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to accommodate a range of learning profiles and EHCP targets.
• Promote confidence, independence, and positive engagement with learning.
• Use creative and differentiated approaches to meet academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, local authorities, and other professionals.
• Monitor, record, and report on student progress and outcomes.
