Job summary

Pertemps Education Network is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for an ARP provision at a primary school in Lambeth. You will teach a small class of 6–8 pupils with SEND, delivering highly personalised learning to help each child thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, has experience with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings, and can work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and SENCOs in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings.
• Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Collaborates with TAs, therapists, SENCOs and external agencies.
• Patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to EHCP targets.
• Lead a small class of 6–8 pupils with SEND.
• Create a nurturing, structured and positive learning environment.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, SENCOs and external agencies.
• Monitor, assess and report pupil progress.
• Develop personalised intervention programmes to support development.
• Foster strong relationships with parents and carers.
• Support pupils’ communication, social interaction, independence and wellbeing.
