Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency is assisting Havering's warm, three-form-entry junior school to find an inspiring Special Needs Teacher (SEN) for their ARP program supporting autistic learners.

The ARP class includes 8 students with autism and 2 learning support assistants. The role is an immediate start for the remainder of the academic year (to July 2027) and offers a collaborative, nurturing environment with strong professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS.
• Passionate and skilled educator with interest in autistic learners.
• Solid understanding of Autism and commitment to professional development.
• Experience from specialist SEN setting or autism-specific provision preferred.
• Positive, energetic, and child-centered attitude; team player.

Responsibilities

• Support autistic learners within the ARP at Havering school.
• Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants to deliver tailored teaching.

SANZA Teaching Agency are recruiting on behalf of a warm, inviting 3- form entry junior school in Havering. They are on the hunt for an inspiring special needs teacher (SEN teacher) for the school's Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP).

Further information:

• Immediate start until end of the academic year (July 2027)
• The school's Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) supports children diagnosed with Autism, providing a small, tailored and nurturing environment for students who are unable to access the curriculum in a mainstream class.
• 8 students in the class
• 2x learning support assistants in the class
• The school is conveniently located close to Romford Station (Elizabeth Line) and has onsite parking.

The ideal special needs teacher (SEN Teacher):

• Will have QTS
