Harris Academy Billericay is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join our talented staff. You will join a team supporting our excellent students, with opportunities to grow, inspire and develop professionally.

We are open to full- or part-time applicants. The successful candidate will hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, with experience in secondary teaching, ideally in multi-ethnic urban settings and in an 11-18 school.

Qualifications

• QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Secondary teaching experience, including teaching practice.
• Experience in multi-ethnic urban schools and working in an 11-18 school (desirable).
• Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4; ability to write lesson plans, develop resources and assess students' work.
• Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with staff.
• Good ICT skills and innovative use of interactive white boards.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to students in the 11–18 age range.
• Plan lessons, develop resources and assess students' work.
• Create a motivating and safe learning environment for all students.
• Communicate positively with parents, carers and external agencies as needed.
• Lead and manage own workload with excellent time management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to raise student aspirations through diverse strategies.
