Qualifications

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
• Experience teaching at secondary level, including practice teaching
• Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements for KS3/KS4 and ideally KS5
• Ability to develop resources, write lesson plans and assess learners
• Ability to work in a team and build positive relationships with staff
• Good ICT skills and ability to use interactive white boards effectively
• Ability to create a motivating and safe learning environment
• Strong written and verbal communication with parents and external agencies
• Excellent time management and ability to motivate students to raise aspirations

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons to a diverse pupil cohort
• Plan, prepare and develop engaging learning resources and assessments
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support school improvement
• Tutor students and contribute to whole-school numeracy development
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external partners
