Philosophy Education, Ltd. is recruiting a Teacher of Science for a Rochester secondary school, starting September 2026. The role covers KS3 and KS4 with full-time or part-time options, paid to scale.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Key Stage 3, with a specialism welcomed.
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Inspire students through practical investigations and scientific enquiry.
Plan and deliver lessons that challenge, engage and support learners of all abilities.
Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
Develop students’ analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can achieve their potential.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Support enrichment opportunities including STEM activities, Science clubs, competitions and educational visits.
