Smile Education is recruiting a qualified Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Oldham. You will deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics for KS3 and KS4, combining theory with practical work.

The role requires QTS and recent UK classroom experience, with a commitment to safeguarding, good behaviour management and helping pupils achieve GCSE outcomes. An ASAP start is available for a long-term placement.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential for this role.
• Recent UK secondary school experience required.
• Enhanced DBS via the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE Science where required.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities, including SEND.
• Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where required.
• Promote safe working practices within classrooms and laboratories.
• Contribute positively to the wider Science department.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold school expectations.
