Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Weymouth. You will support pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis, helping to develop learning, confidence and independence across the curriculum.

You will work closely with the class teacher and school team to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences, while fostering a positive classroom environment and strong pupil relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learning across the primary curriculum.
• Experience one-to-one and small-group support.
• Ability to build confidence and independence in pupils.
• Experience in primary school is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Assist with learning across the primary curriculum.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Work alongside the class teacher to support lesson delivery.
• Provide encouragement and reassurance to pupils who may need additional support.
• Help create a positive, safe and nurturing classroom environment.
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and academic development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources when required.
• Work effectively as part of a friendly and supportive school team.
