Job summary

Queen's Park Academy seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our warm primary school, supporting children aged 3–11 in a safe, nurturing environment. You will work with the class teacher and SENDCO to develop activities, monitor progress, and promote inclusive learning, while helping pupils reach their potential.

We require a Level 2 Teaching and Learning Qualification, GCSE English and Maths, and prior experience with children; the role is permanent, term-time with 39 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in an educational setting
• Ability to plan and lead small group teaching/interventions
• Good knowledge of SEN and inclusive practices
• Strong communication and IT skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with class teacher and SENDCo to support activities and contribute to curriculum planning
• Assist with development and implementation of IPPs and Personal/Pastoral Support Plans
• Promote inclusion and monitor pupil progress to inform support
• Support learning and maintain a safe, calm classroom environment
