Job summary

Queen’s Park Academy in England is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. You will help deliver activities, assist with learning and wellbeing, and contribute to a positive, safe classroom environment.

Start date asap. Permanent, term time + inset days, 39 weeks per year, 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4pm. Salary £25,105-£25,495, actual pro rata £20,608-£20,928 (dependent on experience).

Qualifications

• Minimum of Level 2 Teaching and Learning Qualification.
• GCSE English and Maths (grades A*-C) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children/young people in education setting or as Level 2 1:1 with children with additional needs (min 2 years in last 5 years).
• Experience planning and leading small group teaching/interventions desirable.
• Good knowledge of SEN.
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with ability to build relationships with colleagues and students.
• Able to work using initiative.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with class teacher, SENDCo and other TAs within school policies.
• Assist in devising/extending educational activities and curriculum planning.
• Promote inclusion of all pupils in learning activities.
• Help assess and record pupils' progress and use results to support learning.
• Support pupils' educational, personal and social needs while ensuring safety.
• Contribute to a warm, respectful school culture and learning environment.
