Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a qualified Primary Teacher for a maternity cover at a specialist SEMH school in Stechford. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils with SEMH needs, using assessment data to track progress and promote positive behaviour.

The school values resilience, teamwork and personalised learning, with a supportive on-site team and access to CPD. The role offers a full-time contract starting in September and salary on the Teacher Pay Scale.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 in the UK.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or additional needs.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons meeting individual needs.
• A positive, resilient and proactive approach to supporting pupils and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS1/KS2 pupils with SEMH needs.
• Use assessment and behaviour data to support pupil progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and social-emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to school ethos.
