TeacherActive is working with a specialist alternative provision in St Helens to recruit a Teacher for SEMH pupils. Immediate start with a long-term appointment and potential permanent position for the right candidate.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to SEMH needs, promote positive behaviour and support emotional development alongside TAs and the pastoral team. The role requires QTS or equivalent, experience with SEMH, strong classroom management, and a patient, nurturing

Qualifications

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Experience with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons meeting SEMH pupils' needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional development.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and families.
• Collaborate with pastoral team to support pupils' outcomes.
